The film employs a documentary-style approach to vividly portray how the Party Central Committee, under the leadership of Chairman Mao Zedong, defied the threats posed by the powerful political machinations and brutal military actions of imperialist powers. With the great spirit of the Chinese nation—“strike first to prevent a hundred strikes later”—the Party decisively issued the mobilization order to “resist U.S. aggression and aid Korea, safeguard our homeland.” The People’s Liberation Army, fresh from its great victory in the War of Liberation, immediately set aside the joy of reuniting with family and loved ones and building small families, and with high morale and unwavering determination, “marched gallantly across the Yalu River” to devote themselves wholeheartedly to the cause of “resisting U.S. aggression and aiding Korea, safeguarding our homeland,” composing heroic epics that are both moving and awe-inspiring, stirring heaven and earth and moving even spirits. “There are no heroes descending from the heavens; there are only ordinary people who step forward.” Throughout the three-hour-long film, we witness how the Chinese People's Volunteer Army, under extremely harsh conditions, repeatedly defeated well-equipped invading forces thanks to their iron will, demonstrating a fearless and heroic spirit. All employees were deeply moved and inspired by the Volunteer Army soldiers’ tenacious fighting spirit and their profound patriotic devotion. The Battle of Chosin Reservoir, recounted in the film, was just one battle among many fought by the Chinese People's Volunteer Army during the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea. It vividly illustrates the Volunteer Army officers and soldiers’ unparalleled loyalty to the Party and the people, showcasing their ardent patriotic feelings—a spiritual treasure of immense value to us. As members of Tianteng in this new socialist era, we must carry forward and promote the fine traditions of the Chinese nation, continue the spiritual lineage of the Communist Party of China, and remain committed to our respective posts, forging ahead bravely on the journey of the new era.
